The tedious and delicate work required in the project took them several years to realized. Initial work start at 2003 and took 7 years to finally open its doors to the public at 2010. The site is built in his 400 hectare land at Bagac Bataan that now preserves and celebrates Philippine-Spanish heritage. Las Casa Filipinas De Acuzar Heritage Resort
Las Casas Filipinas De Acuzar is the first and only heritage resort in the Philippines. It sits on 400 hectares of privately owned land. The resort is known for houses from the 18th century from differnt part of the country disassembled, transported and resembled in the resort.
The resort has numerous casa and mansions in the property colleted from various provinces of the country. Most casas are named after the town they came from such as Casa Binan, Casa Mecauayan, Casa Binondo, and Casa Escolta to name a few. To translate to english, Casa Means Houses. The houses were carefully dismantled, transported and meticulously reassemble again.
How to get there
You can fly to and travel by land from Metro Manila or from Clark, Pampanga going to Bataan.
- All guests main entrance will be on Gate 5 along National Highway and register at the Casa Alcuaz (New Manila)
- Guests for check-in can bring vehicles inside for luggage drop off only. Maximum time to drop off luggage’s is 15 minutes only, otherwise no vehicles should be allowed.
Getting around
Private and public vehicles are not allowed in the resort property. Guests for check-in can bring vehicles inside for luggage drop off only and are parked in a secure area near the resort’s entrance gate.
To go around the resort, the guests can either walk or ride the jeepneys and a tram for free that goes around the main road of the resort only. There are several jeepneys that goes back and forth the main road, and only one tram that operates 30 mins. There are also kalesa ride for 4 people at 75 PHP or 150 PHP for a couple. Golf Cart rental at 650 – 850 PHP/H and Bicycle rental at 200 PHP/H. You can avail of these at the Concierge or at Casa Mexico.
What to do & activities
There are a lot of activities to do at Las Casa Filipinas De Acuzar heritage resort.
Swimming Pool & Beach Area: There is also an outdoor pool for checked-in guests to enjoy. The batis-inspired swimming pool is open from 7AM to 9PM daily. Located in the coastal area, the beach is accessible and free for all checked-in guests. It is open from 6AM to 6PM daily with water sports like jet ski, jet pack, wakeboard, banana boat, boat ride available. You can avail of these daily at the resort except for Tuesdays from 7AM to 6PM. These are subject to weather and current conditions ofcourse.

Cultural Shows and Activities: There are a few of the traditional Filipino dances that can be seen during Cultural Show like tinikling, singkil, and maglalatik at Casa Hagonoy every Saturday at 6:00PM.
Entertainment and Game Room: The entertainment and game room is located at Casa Lubao. Filipino games such as sipa, patintero, sungka, piko, and more can be arranged. Billiards, darts, and other board games are available free of charge. Schedule of Entertainment & Game Room is from Monday to Sunday at 7:00AM to 7:00PM.

- Please be advised that the Guided Heritage tour is a 30 minute to 1 hour walking tour.
- Please wear easy to remove shoes. Some houses require to remove shoes upon entry.

- Afternoon – 1:30, 2:30, 3:30, 4:30 only
- Strictly only swimwear attire in the swimming pool (for in house guest only)

Room Rates
We were fortunate enough to have have found a good deal at Deal Grocer for this trip. I was looking for a place for us to escape to for the anniversary weekend. Browsing through their site, I saw an overnight stay at Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar promo for Superior Deluxe Room for two that included breakfast and a guided walking tour for 6,000 PHP.
Where to eat
Las Casas Filipinas discourages and fines guests who bring food inside the resort. Snack and bottled water are allowed but viands and meals are strictly prohibited. There are several in-house restaurants at the resort, during our stay there were only two restaurants open.
Cusina ni Nanay Maria is a Filipino Restaurant named after Jerry Acuzar mother. It is located at Casa Unisan and is open from 11:00AM to 3:00PM on Monday to Thursday and 11:00AM to 10:00PM on Friday to Sunday.
La Bella Teodora serves authentic Italian cuisine. Located at the romantic Casa Binan and can accommodate about 100 guests. For a candle-lit dinner by the river, al fresco dining is also available depending on the weather. It is open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:00PM to 10:00PM on Mondays to Thursday and 11:00AM to 2:00PM, 6:00PM to 10:00PM on Friday to Sunday.
It is best that you dine early and avoid the crowd. Food service took a bit longer as well, do not go to the restaurant hungry or it might frustrate you.
Additional reminders for guests
- Standard check-in time is 3:00 PM and check-out time is 12:00 NN
- Present attached Confirmation Voucher upon arrival at the resort
- Only cash and credit card are acceptable means of payment
- Smoking is not allowed inside the rooms and houses. Violators will be fined PhP 1,500.00.
- Bringing of food and beverage are strictly prohibited. You can only bring chips, nuts and bottled water.
- Pets are not allowed inside the resort
