In the high grounds of Antipolo City, Rizal is the art haven Pinto Art Museum that houses contemporary and cultural pieces for art apreciaters of all age. Located at Sierra Madre St. Grandheights Subdivision at Antipolo City. This museum in Antipolo is a 6 building art gallery. It is built in a 1.2 hectare property that overlooks Metro Manila & houses art peices, a cafe & small shop.

PINTO ART MUSEUM

Pinto Art Museum is the brainchild of Dr. Joven Cuanang and is currently run by Silingan Foundation of Arts, Culture, and Ecology. The museum currently operates without any financial grants from private and public sectors and and strives to remain self-sustaining.

You will find white structures in the middle of lush greenery for galleries housing art pieces of contemporary and cultural.

It has art pieces from present modern artists. You will find art in different mediums from canvas to sculptures.

On separate galleries you will also find wood and/or metal carvings, painting, and textiles from the different tribes in the Philippines.

HOW TO GET TO PINTO ART MUSEUM

PRIVATE VEHICLE:

  • Take the Marcos Highway route heading to Antipolo
  • Head to Ortigas Avenue Ext. via Felix Ave. (Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall)
  • Turn left at Antipolo-Tatay Diversion Road Rotunda
  • Follow Ortigas Avenue Ext. – Sumulong Memorial Circle
  • Turn Right to Grand Heights

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

  • From Cubao
    • Take the LRT Line to Santolan Sation
    • Take a Jeepney (Antipolo-Simbahan-Junction or Antipolo-Shopwise) or FX bound for Antipolo and get of Ynares Center
    • Take a tricycle to Grand Heights Subdivision or Pinto Art Museum
  • From Cubao
    • Take an FX bound for Antipolo at SM Megamall Parking
    • Get of Ynares Center
    • Take a tricycle to Grand Heights Subdivision or Pinto Art Museum

Where To Eat

The art museum has it’s in-house cafe and restaurant where you can have a good meal in between exploring the gardens of the museum. If you have a private vehicle with you, you may want to try Restaurants in Antipolo while you’re in the area.

Museum Rates

As of this writing the regular Entrance Fee to the museum is 150 PHP. Senior Citizens, Students with ID Card, and children under 3 years old have a discounted rate.

Travel Notes:

  • Operation hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Open from Tuesday to Sunday, close during Monday
  • Open during holidays, unless it is a Monday
  • No flash photography allowed
  • No food or pets allowed
  • Strictly non-smoking area
  • No changing of clothes allowed in the museum
